President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today sent a congratulatory message to President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day.

As reported the press office of the President of Armenia, the head of state emphasized that the Armenian and Georgian peoples have been guide by the principles of maintaining the friendly-neighborly relations and continuing and strengthening the close cooperation for centuries. “With satisfaction, I must say that even today, Armenia and Georgia consistently continue to treat the multilayer relations between the two countries with care.

I am glad that we had the opportunity to discuss issues related to the deepening and development of the partnership of our countries during my official visit to Georgia. As presidents of two neighboring and friendly countries in the region, we are committed to serving our peoples with dedication and honor and continuing our joint efforts to transmit to the next generations the friendly relations that we inherited from our ancestors,” Sarkissian’s congratulatory message reads.
