Bulent Kilic, a photographer for France Press (AFP), who was detained during an attempt to hold a gay pride parade in Istanbul on Saturday, accused police of attempted murder and threatened to sue, Ahval writes.

According to him, this case will be considered in court.

The police threw Kilic to the ground and put pressure on his neck.

On Saturday, Istanbul police used tear gas to disperse people gathered for a gay pride parade in Istanbul, which was banned by local authorities. Law enforcement officers detained more than 20 people trying to take part in the march.
