A number of agreements were signed during the meeting of the Azerbaijani-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation held in Baku on Wednesday, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov tweeted, Minval.az reports.

“An intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the fields of conformity assessment, standardization and metrology, as well as memorandums of understanding between AZPROMO and SMBDA and respective agencies of Georgia were signed within a framework of the meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Georgia. The implementation of issues arising from these documents will be important in the development of our mutually beneficial relations,” Jabbarov tweeted.

In his turn, Foreign Minister of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani declared that six documents on sector-specific cooperation were signed during the session of the Azerbaijani-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission, adding that the signed documents will contribute to the establishment of long-term peace and stability and the implementation of major projects.
