Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.

As reported the National Assembly of Armenia, Ambassador Kopirkin congratulated Rubinyan on being elected Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and assured that he will continue to make efforts for expansion of the allied relations between the two countries.

The parties attached importance to the dynamic development of relations between Armenia and Russia in all sectors and expressed confidence that both parties are interested in the expansion and strengthening of cooperation, adding that the recent visit of Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan to the Russian Federation for the first time as parliamentary speaker also serves as brilliant evidence of the cooperation.

Rubinyan and Kopirkin also exchanged views on the development of mutually beneficial relations in the economy and nuclear power sectors.
