It is necessary to correctly assess the needs of families displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. This is what deputy of the Justice Party of the Parliament of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Metakse Hakobyan said during today’s discussion on the issues of persons displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh held by the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia.

According to her, the social and economic needs of the displaced haven’t been properly considered right from the start.

“The government’s programs have been individualized, and the needs of the families are not adequately assessed. In addition, in practice, we don’t have data showing how many internally displaced families in Armenia wish to return to Nagorno-Karabakh,” the deputy said.
