YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: We have been receiving calls from a number of medical centers, mainly provincial ones, since yesterday that they have a serious oxygen [apparatus] [i.e., ventilator] problem. They told us that the oxygen stations were not able to produce enough oxygen [apparatus] and supply [it] to the hospitals that serve Covid patients. And a lack or absence of [this] oxygen [apparatus] can increase the number of deaths that are already increasing day by day.

To our question as to whether they are aware of the problem and what steps they are taking to resolve it, they said from the Ministry of Health: "The Ministry of Health has mobilized all the forces of both state and oxygen stations, they work 24/7. Due to the overload of oxygen stations, some oxygen stations sometimes have accidents which specialists try to eliminate quickly to ensure the flow of oxygen supply.”

When asked where the dissatisfaction comes from, in that case, if they do everything so that sufficient [number of] oxygen [apparatus] is manufactured and supplied, [health] ministry spokesperson Hripsime Khachatryan said: "I do not know where the dissatisfaction comes from. I know that there was an accident in four private stations, now they are working in that direction, they are doing everything to settle [it] quickly."
