The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has launched another strike against the positions of terrorist groups operating near the country's northwestern borders in Iraqi Kurdistan, Mehr reports.

IRGC ground forces on Tuesday morning once again shelled terrorist group bases in the border areas of West Azerbaijan province, using artillery and drones.

Last Wednesday, IRGC Ground Forces defeated terrorist groups' bastions in northern Iraq.

The commander of the IRGC Ground Forces said that 73 ballistic missiles were fired at the terrorist groups' positions in the northern region of Iraqi Kurdistan.

Since Sept. 24, the IRGC has conducted daily strikes against the positions of terrorist groups operating near the country's western borders in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Iran has repeatedly warned Iraqi Kurdistan that it will not tolerate the presence and activities of terrorist groups along its northwestern borders, stating that the country will respond decisively if those areas become a center for terrorists opposed to the Islamic Republic.
