There is no need to look for subtexts in Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's heading from Prague to Russia last week. Artur Hovhannisyan, secretary of the ruling majority "Civil Contract" Faction of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, noted about this at Monday’s press briefing in the NA.

"The current foreign policy [of Armenia] is quite transparent, and we inform our public about everything," Hovhannisyan added.

According to him, Pashinyan's aforesaid visit to Russia was planned in advance, and therefore, there is no subtext.

Speaking about the Armenian-Russian cooperation, the secretary of the "Civil Contract" Faction stated in particular, that Armenia and Russia are allied countries and continue to maintain their respective relations.

"Yes, there are certain problems. We [i.e., Armenia] have fixed these issues and continue to work with our partners. We are still waiting for clear steps and actions related to the restoration of the territorial integrity of our country, the launch of contractual mechanisms," stressed the MP of the ruling NA faction.
