Eleven people have been killed and another 15 wounded as a result of a shooting attack by two citizens of a CIS country at a firing range in the Belgorod region, Interfax reports, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

Two terrorists were killed by return fire.

On October 15, two citizens of one of the CIS countries committed a terrorist act at the training ground of the Western Military District in the Belgorod region.

In the course of a firearms training session with persons who volunteered to participate in a special military operation, the terrorists opened fire with small arms on the unit's personnel. As a result of the firing, 11 people were fatally wounded. Another 15 people with wounds of varying degrees of severity were taken to a medical facility, where they are receiving all necessary assistance. Law enforcement agencies are working at the site of the attack, the statement said.
