Participants of the founding meeting of the Russian-Armenian Business Council, supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, discussed topical issues of trade and economic cooperation.

The leadership of the Council was elected, and the work plan for 2023 was approved. Founder and CEO of Wildberries Tatyana Bakalchuk became chairperson of the Business Council from the Russian side. She informed that the turnover growth of Armenian businessmen on Wildberries is 76% by the end of 2022. On the Armenian side, Shogher Mkrtchyan, director of Yerevan City supermarket chain, was elected as chairman, Sputnik reported.

Mher Avetisyan, Russian businessman and philanthropist, founder of the Russian Book House in Yerevan, will act as Chairman of the Board of the Russian part of the Business Council.
