Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan has initiated a process of constitutional amendment, the Artsakh president's office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Guided by Paragraph 2 of Article 162 of the Artsakh Constitution, President Harutyunyan has signed a decree, according to which a process of constitutional amendment has been launched regarding the Artsakh president’s election by the National Assembly (NA) and its specificities in case of the post of the President becoming vacant in the conditions of the martial law.
The respective draft constitutional amendment was submitted to the NA Monday for debates.
