Secretary Armen Grigoryan of the Security Council (SC) of Armenia on Tuesday received the newly appointed ambassador of Georgia, Giorgi Sharvashidze, and congratulated him on this appointment.

The SC Office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am that the SC secretary expressed hope that this appointment of the Georgian ambassador will breathe new life into the Armenian-Georgian bilateral multisectoral cooperation and will greatly contribute to the deepening of friendly relations between the two countries.

The Georgian ambassador, in turn, assured that during his term of office, he will make maximum efforts to develop the existing cooperation potential in both the economic and humanitarian spheres.
