The deepening of tension on the part of Azerbaijan is alarming. Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen wrote in his microblog on Twitter, commenting on Azerbaijan's deployment of checkpoints in the Lachin corridor.
"If Baku continues to ignore its international obligations and the binding judicial decisions of the UN International Court of Justice, there must be political and economic consequences," Rasmussen wrote.
