The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia, Ani Badalyan, reflected on the post of Anahit Manasyan, Human rights Defender of Armenia, on the occasion of the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.
Manasyan condemned Azerbaijan's policy towards Armenian detainees and civilians held there.
Special attention should be paid to Azerbaijan's policy regarding torture and inhumane treatment of Armenian prisoners of war (POWs) and civilians held in that republic, Manasyan wrote.
In addition to that post, the spokesperson of the Armenian MFA noted that human rights organizations also called for the immediate release of all POWs.
