At Thursday's Cabinet meeting, the Armenian government approved its agreement with the Georgian government on the readmission of persons residing in one another’s countries without permission.
In the explanation of this decision, it is stated that the signing of this agreement is appropriate from the point of view of combating illegal immigration, since the signing of readmission agreements is considered an effective tool of combating illegal immigration. Also, the signing of such an agreement between the two countries is even more important considering the fact that Armenia and Georgia are bordering countries.
