Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: The RA Anti-corruption Committee issued a statement on Friday that (…) factual information was received that V. M., occupying the position of the commander of the RA MoD [(Ministry of Defense)] material base of the No. military unit, demanded a bribe of a total of 19 million 500 thousand RA drams from V. Y., the director of the "Masis Garun Garment Factory" SP company in order to carry out backing for him, a part of which he received.

And it turns out that this is not the only case exposed by the Anti-Corruption Committee. The sources of Zhoghovurd daily report that this investigative body also discovered a chain in the RA Ministry of Defense, when many commanders carried out transfers of soldiers in exchange for money, for which they were targeted by law enforcement officers.

Our sources convey that such a chain has already been discovered in Ararat Province. More commanders will be arrested soon.
