Levon Kocharyan, the son of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, has been arrested for one month, informs Levon Kocharyan's lawyer, Aleksandr Kochubayev.

A Yerevan court of granted the respective petition submitted by the investigator.

Levon Kocharyan is charged with violence against a representative of the Armenian authorities. He, however, does not accept the charges against him.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that large-scale demonstrations began in Yerevan amid the latest Azerbaijani military aggression unleashed against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) on September 19. People demand answers from the Armenian authorities for their inaction in the Artsakh issue.

On September 22, the special police forces detained some protesters from a downtown Yerevan street, and Levon Kocharyan was among them.

In the respective footage by the media, it can be seen that the policemen, while detaining Kocharyan, hit him hard in the police car.

Later it became known that Kocharyan was taken to hospital, and he was diagnosed with a concussion.

And on September 23, Levon Kocharyan's attorney, Aleksandr Kochubayev, reported that Kocharyan was detained for beating four special police force officers.
