Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: The Zhoghovurd daily has learned the details of the criminal proceedings within the framework of which Vahan Badasyan, former Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] president Arayik Harutyunyan’s representative on security and evacuee affairs was summoned to the RA Investigative Committee for questioning.

According to the information we received, he was questioned within the framework of Article 330 of the RA Criminal Code (Public calls to commit violence, publicly justifying or advocating violence, as well as distributing materials or objects for this purpose).

Armlur.am had written that Vahan Badasyan, former Artsakh president Arayik Harutyunyan’s representative on security and evacuee affairs, commander of the first battalion of the Hadrut defense region was summoned to the RA Investigative Committee for questioning. We tried to find out the information from his defense attorney Rafayel Martirosyan, who confirmed the information. Defense attorney Martirosyan did not want to elaborate on what criminal case Badasyan was summoned for questioning.

It became known to us that he wrote a public speech on his social [media] page, which, according to the law enforcement officers, is a call to violence. But we have not yet been able to find out for precisely which [social media] post he was taken for questioning.
