The opening ceremony of the office of the first honorary consul of Armenia to Georgia took place Tuesday in Rustavi city, Armenian News-NEWS.am learns from the embassy of Armenia in Georgia.
The ambassador of Armenia to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan, director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Tabatadze, and the newly appointed honorary consul, Giorgi Maisuradze delivered welcoming remarks at the event.
In his remarks, the Armenian ambassador highlighted the opening of this office, stressing the importance of its activities, especially from the point of view of strengthening economic ties and having more active intersocietal contacts between Armenia and Georgia
The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the Rustavi city hall, and the Armenian community of Georgia.
