NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen expressed concern over dissolving of Kurdish “Democratic Society Party” issue discussed in Turkish Constitutional Court. He disapproves the wind up of the Kurdish party noting that it is essential for democracy in Turkey, Internethaber e-source reports.
As NEWS.am reported previously, Turkish Constitutional Court should discuss the issue on dissolving “Kurdish Democratic Society Party” with 21 seats in Turkish Parliament.
Turkish General Prosecutor’s Office lodged a claim against dissolving of Kurdish Democratic Society Party on November 16, 2007. The party is accused of supporting Turkey rupturing actions. The statement claims to renounce 221 party members of political activities’ right. 7 out of 11 members of Turkish CC should vote for the party to be dissolved.
