The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kuwait to Armenia Bassam Muhammad al-Kabandi on December 26 in the Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia will award the certificate to the “Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues” organization to provide humanitarian assistance to the Syrian Armenians in the amount of AMD 40 million (about $100,000).

As Armenian News - NEWS.am was informed at the press service of the Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia, Syrian Armenians will be provided with the coupons showing the amount that will give them the opportunity to get food.

Recall that in Armenia there are currently about 5,000 Syrian Armenians who left Syria because of the tense situation in the country. In Syria there is one of the oldest Armenian community in the Middle East, its population exceeds 85,000 people. Most of Armenians live in the economic capital of Syria, the city of Aleppo, where the fights between government forces and the opposition are taking place.
