YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Edward Nalbandian, on Thursday received Ambassador Philippe Lefort, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia.

The interlocutors discussed the results of the informal meeting of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) member states, which was convened recently in the Georgian capital city Tbilisi, and the preparations for the EaP summit to be held in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, in November. 

Nalbandian and Lefort also reflected on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. The EU special representative reaffirmed the European Union’s support to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ efforts to resolve this conflict pacifically and to the confidence-building measures for the parties to the conflict.
