YEREVAN.- Armenia remains committed to its goal to finalize talks on the Association Agreement with EU by the time of Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius, Armenian official said on Wednesday.

The sides held the 12th round of talks on March 19-20, Deputy Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said at a joint press conference with chief negotiator on Armenia-EU Association Agreement Gunnar Wiegand.

He stressed that work on the content of the agreement is close to an end. All proposals have been agreed and there is no necessity in additional round. However, the sides have to carry out certain work, he noted. The talks are followed by the procedure which requires time.  

Mnatsakanyan noted that one of the elements of the Association Agreement is free trade area agreement, adding that the talks are moving in a good pace and will be completed prior to the Vilnius summit.

The ongoing reforms in Armenia are also linked to the Association agenda. He recalled that Armenia had already signed an agreement on relaxation of visa requirements and will soon sign an agreement on readmission.
