STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Friday received Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan.

Army-building and cooperation between the two Armenian states in this domain were discussed during the meeting, in which NKR Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan likewise participated, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informs.

Subsequently, the talk continued in an extended format, with the participation by the Armenian Defense Ministry delegation. A special attention was paid to the food and ware maintenance of the army and to communal construction.

In his remarks, the President underscored the need to give a new quality to the ongoing activities in this direction and to elaborate long-term programs. He pointed that such approach will give renewed impetus to the economic development of the country and the effective utilization of its potential.

Nagorno-Karabakh Republic PM Ara Harutyunyan, Deputy PM Artur Aghabekyan, and several other officials also attended the meeting.
