YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Friday received the delegation headed by Suma Chakrabarti, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).   

President Sargsyan hailed more than 20-year long cooperation between Armenia and EBRD, expressing hope that EBRD will continue assistance to Armenia’s private and financial sectors as well as strengthening of institutional possibilities.

In turn, Suma Chakrabarti, referring to the bank’s long-term cooperation with Armenia and the large-scale investments, noted importance of the agreement signed on Friday between the bank and Armenian government. According to him, the agreement is another good example of cooperation and aims to improve water infrastructure in Armenia.
