YEREVAN. – In recent times the Armenian citizens prefer heading abroad from Tbilisi, since the air tickets from Georgia are considerably cheaper than the tickets of the flights from Yerevan, 168 Zham daily reports.

“[But] it turns out that our [Armenian] authorities have also found a way to fight against this phenomenon, too.

“Instead of taking measures to lower the air transport prices, the government has found an easier way. They simply asked, urged by internal procedures, specifically, the embassies of European Union countries, not to issue Schengen visas to those [Armenian] citizens who present air tickets for departure from Tbilisi,” 168 Zham writes.
