YEREVAN. – A call was received informing that a traffic accident had occurred with ensuing fire, on Friday evening, on the Etchmiadzin-Aghavnatun motorway in Armenia’s Armavir Region, and rescuers were needed. 

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene, informs the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was found out that a Volkswagen Golf, an Opel Astra, and a VAZ 2107-model car had crashed for yet unknown reasons.

As a result, H. M., 50, K. N., 8, and M. M., 56, had sustained injuries and were transferred to the Etchmiadzin city medical center.   

The physicians informed that H. M. and K. N. are in average critical condition, whereas M.M. has died.
