YEREVAN. – Armenia’s special investigation service will study the case of police officers who attempted to rob a jewelry store.

The criminals were wearing masks and had all instruments, but the robbery failed due to alarm which triggered properly, press service of the investigation service reported.

The Gyumri Police received a call from a jewelry store, on Monday at 4:20am. 

The police squad arrived at the scene so quickly that the offenders had not even managed to enter the store.   The law enforcement officers rendered the offenders inactive and detained them. 

It was found out that these lawbreakers are police officers themselves; namely, Hrayr Kalashyan and Artak Baghdasaryan.
