Kazakhstan supports Armenia’s decision to become a Customs Union member, stated Zhanar Aitzhanova, Minister of Economic Integration of Kazakhstan.
“The Customs Union is an open organization for new participants. If this is the political decision by the country’s leadership, we support it,” she said, reports ITAR-TASS News Agency of Russia.
In her words, if Armenia becomes a Customs Union member, it will have to go through several procedures, which include the making of its legislation conform to this organization.
“Armenia is also a World Trade Organization member, and that is why it will have to go through certain procedures there, too,” Aitzhanova added.
