YEREVAN. – Bartenders from Armenia regularly compete in the World Bartender Championship, which is held every year, and they also win awards.
Armenian Bartenders Association President Tigran Avetisyan told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his words, Armenian bartenders Artyom Khachunts and Garnik Sahakyan captured second place in the 2012 championship, which was held in Beijing, China.
As per Avetisyan, the professional training level of Armenia’s bartenders is much higher than those in any other country of the former USSR.
“[This] is a ten-year profession in Armenia; it did not exist before that [in the country]; before that, there were little buffets,” Tigran Avetisyan added.
