YEREVAN. – The European Parliament’s recent approval of the agreement on visa facilitation and readmission with Armenia is a good message to official Yerevan that Brussels intends to continue cooperation with Armenia.

Caucasus Institute Deputy Director, political analyst Sergey Minasyan told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I was confident before, too, that the EU is keen to continue the cooperation and integration with Armenia, even if this agreement had not existed; this has been repeatedly demonstrated,” Minasyan noted.

He expressed a hope that this trend would also continue during the EU Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in the Lithuanian capital city Vilnius, at the end of November.

To note, owing to the aforesaid agreement, Armenian citizens will face less visa issuance “obstacles” when planning to make short-term visits to EU countries.
