YEREVAN. – Poland’s Ambassador to Armenia Zdzisław Raczyński did not share the opinion that Armenia deceived Poland by making a decision to join the Customs Union.

“I am not sharing this view,” Raczyński said during the Thursday press conference.

Poland is one of the initiators of Eastern Partnership project, and Armenia’s decision canceled initialing of the Association Agreement with EU slated for November.

“Mutual confidence is the basis of human relations and relations between the states. Armenia and Poland have excellent relations,” he said.

The Polish diplomat recalled that President Sargsyan had paid a state visit to Poland, and an Armenian khachkar (cross-stone) had been installed in Warsaw.

“The Polish society and authorities showed their respect for the Armenian state. Without any doubt, Poland will remain Armenia’s advocate in EU in the format that Armenia will choose,” he noted.
