STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Thursday arrived in France on a working visit.

On the same day, the President met in Lyon with a group of members of the council that coordinates the activities of the local Armenian unions.

The avenues toward strengthening Artsakh-Diaspora cooperation were discussed during the talk, informs the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

Sahakyan underscored the need to establish strong ties with the Diaspora-Armenian organizations and to implement coordinated activities adding that all the necessary respective preconditions exist.

NKR Deputy Prime Minister Artur Aghabekyan, Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan, Armenia’s Ambassador to France Vigen Chitechyan, NKR Permanent Representative to France Hovhannes Gevorgyan, and several other officials also attended the meeting.
