Head of the Armenian mission to NATO Samvel Khachatryan visited Apr. 8 the NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE).

The press service of the RA Foreign Office informed NEWS.am that the Armenian diplomat held meetings with Chief of Staff General Karl-Heinz Lather and Chief of Staff Military Cooperation, General Frantisek Maleninsky. Ambassador Khachatryan informed the NATO officials of the main fields of the Armenia-NATO cooperation. The sides discussed issues of security in the South Caucasus. The NATO officials pointed out Armenia’s contribution to NATO’s activities, particularly to the activities of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). On NATO’s behalf the officials expressed their readiness for supporting reforms in the Armenian armed forces.
