April 15, Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre Herbert Salber stated that resignation of Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev will assist stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan, RIA Novosti reports, referring to AP.

Salber noted that country’s interim government intends to carry out constructive reforms and hold presidential elections within coming six months. He also added that during the recent disorders numerous arms and ammunition were stolen from law enforcers.

Yesterday, Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev finally submitted resignation and left Jalalabad for Kazakhstan. The head of interim government Roza Otunbayeva informed that this step prevented from further clashes and destabilization of the situation in the country.
