Mourning services will be held in four churches across the Chicago region on April 24 – 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Chicago Public radio reports.

“It’s important. It’s part of who we are as Armenians, as Christians, to remember the past and not have those people and what they fought for and what they died for to be forgotten,” says father Aren Jebejian — the pastor at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church in Chicago.
