The executive body of the European Union approved the action plan for Georgia in 2010 a total amount of EUR €37m within the framework of the European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) programming.

The purpose of the assistance is to contribute to progressive economic integration and the EU’s cooperation with the partner states, the European Commission’s statement says, Novosti-Georgia reports.

The funds are intended for reducing the inequality between Georgian regions, promoting regional development and Georgia’s economic integration into the EU, enhancing the effectiveness of social assistance to vulnerable sections and of reforms in public funds management.
