Turkish Ambassador to U.S. Namik Tan does not rule out a rupture of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Israel.

Turkey will have to break off relations after the Israeli military action against “Freedom Flotilla” convoy if official Tel Aviv does not apologize to Turkey, he said.

According to him, Israel must conduct an independent investigation into the incident and lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Official Ankara does not even think of what may happen in case of severance of relations. However, the Government will have to take such an action. Turkey has been Israel’s ally and the question is Israel is about to lose that friend, Tan said.
