South Korea’s “Union for Movement for a Free North Korea” NGO, which unites the refugees who have crossed the border from North Korea, have launched balloons with leaflets to North Korea, the KBS state-run television and radio reported.

The pamphlets, which criticize the North Korean system of governance, were sent from the border area of Paju.   

By way of dozens of helium balloons, 300,000 leaflets were launched to North Korea on Friday evening. 

But nothing was informed in advance about the releasing of these balloons. 

There was no confrontation between the NGO members and the local residents, reported TASS news agency of Russia.
