YEREVAN. – The matter of Armenia’s forthcoming Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) accession was not discussed at the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly meeting, since this matter refers solely to Armenia and the EEU.

Opposition MP, former Foreign Minister Alexander Arzumanyan, who is also a member of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Delegation to the Euronest, stated the abovementioned at a press conference on Monday.

The head of delegation, ruling party deputy Artak Zakaryan, who is also Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, for his part, added that the Azerbaijani delegates had asked how Armenia will be able to continue its activities in the Euronest, if plans to join the EEU.

The European parliamentarians, however, had responded that the integration process, which Armenia is engaged in, cannot prevent the activities of the Euronest  Parliamentary Assembly.
