The Azerbaijani side had started shooting, on late Thursday night, in the direction of Nerkin Karmraghbyur border village of Armenia’s Tavush Region.

As a result, a civilian was killed. 

At 11:30pm, the relatives of village resident Vanik Ghukasyan (born in 1954), who had sustained the fatal wound, had brought him to hospital. 

The shooting stopped on Friday at around 1am, and after the reprisal by the Armenian side, Nerkin Karmraghbyur prefect Manvel Kamendatyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He added that the Azerbaijani bullet had hit the Armenian civilian at his home, and his wife and son were also with him at home at the time.
