YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is also chairman of the state coordination committee for the Armenian Genocide Centennial commemorations, on Wednesday toured an exhibition titled “The Armenian Genocide in Literature.”
This event is devoted to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, and it is held in the context of the two-day International Social and Political Global Forum against the Crime of Genocide. This forum is devoted to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, and it got underway Wednesday in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.
More than 900 books, which were published in 37 countries and in 23 languages, are displayed at this exhibition.
The authors of many of these books also were at the exhibition, and they introduced and presented their works to Sargsyan.
The President, together with a delegation, also visited a photo exhibition titled “Genocide.”
This event displays the photographs taken by the world’s top eight photographers, and on the topic of genocides as well as violence that has caused numerous conflicts and human tragedies.
