YEREVAN. – The central office of the “Alliance” Progressive Centrist Party of Armenia opened Monday in capital city Yerevan, party spokesperson Vardan Kocharyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The central office will coordinate the activities of Alliance’s regional and administrative divisions.

And during a regular meeting, the initiative group approved the permanent office staff, and the makeup of the organizing committee for Alliance’s founding congress, which is slated for May 16.

As reported earlier, MP Tigran Urikhanyan, who was the press secretary of the—now opposition—Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), had issued a statement noting that it is no longer expedient for him to stay in the PAP.

Urikhanyan had added that he will be engaged in the founding of the Civil Headquarters, within the framework of which he will continue to fight for the future.

And the Civil Headquarters initiative group reached a decision to found the “Alliance” Progressive Centrist Party.
