YEREVAN. – The Armenian government on Thursday approved U.S.-Armenia trade and investment framework agreement.

The agreement suggests creation of US-Armenian council on trade and investment, Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said.

The Ministry of Economy and trade representative of U.S. will chair the council.

The tasks of the Council will be expanding opportunities for mutual trade and investment, as well as preparation of proposals on improving the protection of intellectual property, business environment, workers' rights, as well as voicing of questions which are not included in the already existing agreement on investment between the two countries.
