Saturday is “day of silence” in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh), as the country is preparing for Sunday’s parliamentary election.

The election campaign ended on Friday, and, pursuant to the law, campaigning is prohibited on the next day.

Seven political parties will run in Artsakh’s parliamentary election on Sunday.

Fifty individuals, 27 of whom self-nominated, will run for parliamentary seats by the majority system.

More than one hundred international observers from the European countries and the US plus observers from Armenia will monitor the NKR parliamentary election.
