YEREVAN. – A 75-year-old woman was killed in a large fire in a residential building in Meghri, a town in Armenia's south.
Overall, 24 families – around 60 people – have been evacuated, Meghri Mayor Arshavir Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
A residential building and a part of the neighboring private house was completely destroyed by fire that was caused by carelessness of the residents. An old woman failed to switch on gas cylinder and left it as it was. The fire was caused by a gas leak.
