STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 1,000 times, from August 9 to 15.

During this time, Azerbaijan fired more than 18,000 shots in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry, mine throwers and grenade launchers, reported the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army.

As a result of operational measures taken by vanguard units of the NKR Defense Army, however, the “activeness” by the adversary was quelled, informed the press service of the NKR Ministry of Defense.
