YEREVAN. - Members of Armenia’s Heritage party Hovsep Ghazaryan and Sevada Ghazaryan are being question at the police station in connection with the scuffle at the office of Civil Consciousness NGO on Friday, the party’s spokesman Davit Sanasaryan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“I can say nothing about the details, since I don’t know them[either] yet,” he said.

The press-conference which was to be held at the central office of Heritage party over the aforementioned incident didn’t take place today, since the party members left for the police station.

Scuffle took place between the Civil Consciousness NGO members and Heritage party representatives on Friday. According to the NGO representatives, after the interview with their Chairman Narek Samsonyan, during which the latter criticized all the oppositional forces, Heritage party member Hovsep Ghazaryan allegedly headed to the NGO’s office along with 7 friends to “have it all out.” Samsonyan was hospitalized with bodily injuries.

Heritage party Deputy Chairman Armen Martirosyan said the incident was the authorities’ provocation against the party. According to him, 15 NGO members had allegedly attacked the 5 party representatives.

Law enforcement authorities have opened a case. Investigation is underway.
