YEREVAN. -- The Azerbaijani forces launched offensive actions on the contact line with the Nagorno-Karabakh Armed Forces, flagrantly violating the ceasefire regime on the night of April 2. The clashes continue.

- Karabakh MOD: The Azerbaijani side took offensive actions on the southern, southeast and northeast directions of the line of contact with the Nagorno-Karabakh Armed Forces on the night of April 2. The artillery, armored machinery and the Air Force have been used. Azerbaijan has launched strikes at peaceful settlements.
- Karabakh army: Azerbaijani helicopter is annihilated on the northern part of the contact line. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces continue large-scale offensive actions.


- Spokesperson for Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan: The Armenian Armed Forces have started a counterattack. There are casualties on both sides.
- MOD of Armenia: Continuation of hostilities can lead to unpredictable consequences for the Azerbaijani side.
- Karabakh Defense Army: The Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from ММ-21. A 12-year-old boy, Vaghinak Grigoryan was killed. Two other children were wounded.
- Spokesperson for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov: This criminal action of Azerbaijan along the Karabakh-Azerbaijan border is terrorism toward the people of Karabakh.
- Spokesperson for Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan: Armenia is in touch with international organizations and foreign countries’ military and diplomatic representatives.
- The Russian Foreign Ministry is studying the reports regarding the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
- Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office is aware of the escalation of situation on the Line of Contact.
- MOD: The Defense Army special task force subdivision eliminated a diversion investigative group of the adversary. The latter retreated, leaving numerous losses.
- Spokesperson for Armenian president Vladimir Hakobyan: Serzh Sargsyan was reported regarding the exacerbation of the situation along the Line of Contact. The President’s plane will land in capital city Yerevan in the coming hours.
- Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan: The state institutions of Armenia are ready to contribute through their full capacities to taking necessary measures towards the stabilization of the situation.
- Spokesperson for Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan: In addition to a helicopter, the Azerbaijani army lost a drone and a tank during the battles.
- Karabakh official: The Karabakh forces annihilated two Azerbaijani helicopters, two drones and three tanks.

- President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Bako Sahakyan, chaired the NKR Security Council meeting devoted to the large-scale ceasefire violations from Azerbaijani side.
- Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov: President Putin calls for immediate ceasefire.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appealed to the international community with a demand to call Azerbaijan to order.
