YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Wednesday met with Ambassador Herbert Salber, European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, who is visiting Armenia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am the interlocutors discussed the measures being taken to implement the agreements that were reached during the recent summits in the Austrian capital city of Vienna and the Russian city of St. Petersburg, and which were devoted to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The Armenian FM, for his part, the stressed need for unconditional implementation of these agreements in order to move the peace process forward.  

The EU special representative, in turn, noted that there is no alternative to a peaceful settlement of this conflict. He also reaffirmed the EU assistance to the respective efforts by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group co-chairs
